Prayer and Garden Flags
These prayer flags are designed by Miranda Gray, from her original drawings, collages and block prints. They are printed in the USA on organic cotton fabric, and sewn and assembled in Northern New Mexico, USA. They stem from the Tibetan Buddhist prayer flag tradition. It is thought that the images on the flags transmit their invocations to the world when touched by the breeze. Like the traditional prayer flags, these flags are not stitched around the edges. The edges will fray with time. The thoughts behind this is that the flags symbolize impermanence and the transitory nature of existence. These flags are sturdy and light fast, and will be bright for quite some time if displayed outside.
